VALATIE — Bella Milazzo threw a one-hit shutout with six strikeouts as unbeaten Ichabod Crane defeated Schalmont, 12-0, in Monday’s Colonial Council softball game.

The game was stopped after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Emma Scheitinger homered, singled and drove in two runs for the Riders (6-0). Mackenzie Wendelken had two doubles and two RBI, Laney Altomer doubled and had two RBI, Cali Ringwood contributed two singles and two RBI, Morgan Ormerod had two singles and an RBI, Milazzo had two singles, Clare Knapp singled and drove in a run, Carolina Williams singled and Ava Heffner drove in a run.

Maple Hill 16, Cairo-Durham 4

EAST DURHAM — Kate Brodzinski collected three singles and four RBI to highlight Maple Hill’s 16-4 victory over Cairo-Durham in Monday’s Patroon Conference softball action.

Jenna Hoffman and Emma Dugan each had two singles and two RBI for the Wildcats. Alexis Tedford and Emily Coffey singled and drove in a run, Kate Ackerman, Sam Manning and Briget Soden singled and Ryleigh Olsen an Mia Fleck each had an RBI.

Sadie Hall had two singles and an RBI for the Mustangs. McKayla Mudge singled and drove in a run and Xxaria Makely and Giovanna Manoli singled.

Ackerman (2k,3bb,4r,5h) and Brodzinski (4k,2bb,) shared pitching duties for Maple Hill.

Mudge went the distance for Cairo-Durham, allowing 16 runs and 12 hits with five strikeouts and 10 walks.

C-A 14, Catskill 1

CATSKILL — Patience DeRose homered, tripled and drove in two runs to lead Coxsackie-Athens to a 14-1 victory over Catskill in Monday’s Patroon Conference softball game.

Natalee Farrand ripped a triple and two singles with an RBI for C-A. Julia Grounds added a double and single with four RBI, Riley Sitcer had three singles and an RBI, Olivia Montanye singled twice and knocked in a run, Erin Mogul, Lauren Winegard and Paige Wallace al singled and drove in a run and Leigha Wiley had an RBI.

Ashley Shook and Kaitlyn McGee doubled for the Cats. Brooklyn Benjamin had a single.

Leigha Wiley went the distance for the win, striking out three, walking one and allowing just one run and three hits.

Shook took the loss, striking out three, walking five and allowing 14 runs and 15 hits.
