CASTLETON — Lavon Fernandez and DeVon Haye combined for 47 points to power Catskill to a 77-60 victory over Maple Hill in Tuesday’s Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

The Cats are now 12-0 in the Patroon (14-1 overall) and can clinch at least a tie for their eighth league championship in the past 10 years with a win over Taconic Hills on Friday.

Fernandez topped his points per game average of 25 with a 26-point performance for Catskill. Haye added 21 and now needs just 22 more to reach the 1,000-point milestone for his career. Leviticus Johnson and Logan Scott each had 10.

Rian Jewett had the hot hand for Maple Hill, pouring in 37 points, including five three-pointers. Blake Decker added 11.

Catskill, the No. 7 Class B team in the state, jumped out to a 30-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back. The Cats led 45-28 at halftime and 59-45 through three quarters.

VALATIE — Gabe Lucarelli’s 17 points led a balanced scoring attack as LaSalle defeated Ichabod Crane, 70-45, in Tuesday’s Colonial Council boys basketball game.

Jimyh Evans contributed 13 points to the Cadets’ cause. Bo Catherwood added 12 and Drasean Wallace had nine.

Ed Ogden had 13 for Ichabod Crane. Zach Kennedy chipped in with 11 and Brett richards had 10.

LaSalle built quarterly leads of 20-13, 35-23 and 52-35.

RHINEBECK — Germantown pulled away from a tie game with a 14-7 fourth-quarter run to earn a 54-47 non-league boys basketball victory over Rhinebeck on Tuesday.

Germantown led 19-10 after one quarter and 31-19 at halftime, but Rhinebeck pulled even in the third stanza with a 21-9 scoring edge.

Bryan Bathrick was Germantown’s top scorer with 19 points. Robbie Eaton had 14 and Jace Anderson 11.

Brendan Hines’ 13 points topped Rhinebeck. Aiden Aierstok added 10.

Kailtyn Silk led the way for Greenville with 16 points. Bella Trostle and Natalie Krasney each had 13 and Meghan Misuraca contributed 10.

Kirsten Shumsky led Taconic Hills with nine points.

Greenville led 14-11 aftre one quarter, 28-16 at halftime and 48-18 through three quarters.

Ayaka Suesada had nine points for Hawthorne Valley.

GERMANTOWN — Megan Dunn poured in 21 points to highlight Germantown’s 74-54 non-league girls basketball victory over Chatham on Tuesday.

Kaycee Hayes had 17 points, Jen Ljutich 12 and Kierlan Denninger 10 for Germantown.

Hanna Taylor’s 22 points topped Chatham. Erin Madsen and Paige Eaton both had 10.

Germantown trailed 13-11 after one quarter and 29-21 at halftime, but went on outscore Chatham 53-25 in the second half to earn the victory.

Michael Laney had a 212-557 and Justin Zimmerman a 225-543 for the Wildcats, who had a total pinfall of 3,006 on games of 996, 1,002 and 1,008.

Zach Porreca’s 616 (210, 224, 182) led Hudson. Matt Bowes added a 225-594.
