CRARYVILLE — The Taconic Hills girls swim team carried the lead throughout Thursday’s meet against Wahconah, but ended up with a tie, 66-66.

Jacquie Arre earned first place in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke, Emma Avenia earned first place in 100 fly and 500 free and Daisy Plaza took first place in the 200 free and 100 back.

Plaza, Arre, Avenia and Isabelle Hamann combined to take first place in both the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. Hamann earned second place in both the 50 free and 100 free. Charlotte Hermance earned a 3rd place in both the 50 free and 100 free.

For the boys team, Neil Howard III earned first in the 50 free and 100 free.

The Titans take on Monument Mountain at home on Tuesday.

C-A 66, Watervliet 12

COXSACKIE — Coxsackie-Athens earned victories in 11 of 13 matches to defeat Watervliet/Cohoes, 66-12, in Thursday’s Patroon Conference wrestling action.

Maple Hill 4, Chatham 1

LJ Morse fired a 256-728, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Chatham from falling to Maple Hill, 4-1, in Thursday’s Patroon Conference bolwing match.

Owen Leahon led Maple Hill with a 241 single.

Cloe Weiner rolled a 405 triple for the Panthers, while Kate Ackerman hit a 501.

Taconic Hills 3, C-A 2

Tony Morales rolled a 185-500 to spark Taconic Hills to a 3-2 victory over Coxsackie-Athens in Patroon Conference bowling action on Thursday.

Leo Woytowich hit a 185-490 for C-A.

Taconic Hills had a total pinfall of 2,050. C-A had a 2,013 total.

“Very close and exciting match to watch,” Taconic Hills coach Matthew Osterhoudt said.

Catskill 5, Hudson 0

Catskill defeated Hudson, 5-0, in Thursday’s Patroon Conference bowling match.

The Cats rolled games of 910, 976 and 980 for a 2,866 total. Hudson had games of 876, 853 and 943 for 2,672.

Nick Place had a 236-625 for Catskill. Zach Porreca led Hudson (2-2, 10-10) with a 215-529.

“Catskill did a great job converting spares,” Hudson coach Steve Markowitz said. “We, on other hand, struggled with one-pin spares.”

PATROON

TH 3, New Lebanon 0

Taconic Hills rolled to a 3-0 victory over New Lebanon in Thursday’s Patroon Conference volleyball match.

The Titans won by scores of 26-24, 25-18, 25-15.

Adonias Mercado had 15 digs and 5 kills for Taconic Hills. Bryce Atwood contributed 12 kills and Ryan Miller had 10 assists, 3 kills and 3 digs.

Catskill 3, C-A 2

Coxsackie-Athens took a 3-2 loss to the Catskill Cats on Wednesday in Patroon Conference boys volleyball.

C-A came out ready to battle, but suffered from several errors on offense and defense. In the first set, the two teams battled point for point with the Riverhawks pulling out the set win, 25-23.

In the second set, Catskill was able to drop the ball a number of times where the Riverhawks were just unable to get there to return the ball and lost the set, 25-9.

C-A came back in the third set determined to get the win. Point for point they battled again and were able to get on top in the end for a 26-24 set win.

Into the fourth set, C-A entered with continued momentum but errors and lack of communication got the best of them and they lost the set, 25-16.

Heading into the fifth and final set, C-A was ready to take on the Cats. They started strong by taking a 4-point lead. Then Catskill was able to maintain control and won the set and game, 15-6.

For C-A: Brandon Morehouse had 6 kills, 2 assists, 2 aces and 3 digs; Matthew Burch 4 kills, 1 assist and 1 dig; Robert Rebussmen 6 kills, 1 block, 1 ace and 1 assist; Matthew Clark 10 kills, 2 assists and 1 block; Alex Moore 2 kills and 3 blocks and Setter Sam Mozzillo 30 assists, 2 kills, 1 block and 4 digs.
