COXSACKIE — The Greene County Outlaws overcame a 2-1 deficit with three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings and went on to defeat the Guilderland Bulldogs, 7-2, in Tuesday’s Eastern New York 16U Travel Baseball game at McQuade Park.

The Outlaws went up 1-0 in the first inning when Isaiah Edmonds singled and Dylan Norton reached on an error. After both runners moved up a base on Ethan Conrad’s ground out, Alek Wagor hit a sacrifice fly to plate Edmonds.

Guilderland scored two runs in the top of the fourth to take a 2-1 edge, but the lead was quickly erased as the Outlaws came back with three in the bottom half of the frame.

Conrad reached on an error and Kasey Moore singled. Both runners moved up a base on a wild pitch and Grayson Van Wie followed with a double, chasing home Conrad and Moore. Van Wie eventually scored on Vic Gorman’s base hit.

The Outlaws added three insurance runs in the fifth, highlighted by Edmonds’ long solo homer to left. Back-to-back doubles by Norton and Conrad (RBI) made it 6-2. Conrad swiped third base and scored on Wagor’s ground out.

Edmonds’ home run, single and RBI led the Outlaws’ nine-hit attack. Van Wie had a double and two RBI, Conrad doubled and drove in a run, Norton doubled, Gorman stroked an RBI single, Moore, Isaiah Maines and Matt Bowes all singled and Wagor knocked in two runs.

Casey Carroll pitched five innings for the win, striking out five, walking six and allowing just two hits and two runs. Norton worked the last two innings, striking out four.

The Outlaws host the South Troy Dodgers 15 on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at McQuade Park.
