COXSACKIE — Max Van Etten fired a no-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead the Greene County Outlaws 9U to a 7-0 victory over the Greene County Bombers in Saturday’s travel baseball game.

Van Etten’s teammates backed him up with an error-free game.

Everett Nelson, JJ Irwin and Daegan Welch all singled for the Outlaws. Quinn Carroll swiped three bases.

Chatham Reds 9, Raiders 3

CHATHAM — The Chatham Reds 12AW scored five runs in the fifth inning en route to a 9-3 victory over Mechanicville Raiders in Sunday’s travel baseball action.

The Reds got things started in the first inning. Landon Van Alstyne singled, stole second and third and scored on a passed ball. Bronson Haner drew a walk, stole second and scored on a double off the bat of Brayden Steltz.

In the second, Horton walked, stole second and scored on a single by Wilber to make it 3-0.

In the third, Haner tripled, and scored on a sac fly from Brody Casivant to make it 4-0.

Chatham’s big inning was the fifth when Griffin Reardon and Brody Casivant started tins off with back-to-back homers. Haner walked and Brayden Steltz followed with a double and Horton singled. When the smoke cleared, the Reds plated five runs in the frame.

The Red Storm scored a single run in the 4th, 5th and 6th

Cooper Steltz started on the pitcher’s mound for 12 AW Chatham Reds. The southpaw lasted one inning, gave up a hit, zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. He was followed Aidan Madsen who struck out two in one inning, Reardon who struck out the side on 11 pitches, Brody Casivant who walked two, allowed a run while striking out two and Van Alstyne who allowed one hit, three walks and two runs while striking out two.

The Reds are now 10-3.

Blackhawks 7, Bombers 6

VALATIE — Max Frering blasted a dramatic three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the ENY Blackhawks 14U a 7-6 victory over the TC Bombers 13EB on Sunday.

With the Blackhawks trailing 6-4, Dom Scali reached on an error to start the bottom of the seventh. After Dom Pelizza doubled to put runners on second and third, Frering stepped in and delivered his game-winning bomb.

Frering also doubled and singled for the Blackhawks (7-0). Pelizza added two doubles and an RBI, Gabe Carpenter had two singles and an RBI, Kyle Danforth singled and drove in two and Tyler Peck and Jacob Macfarlane singled.

Sam Buquet, Peck, Gavin Hartka, Pelizza, Danforth, Carpenter and Rossano all pitched for the Blackhawks, striking out 11, walking eight and allowing six runs and three hits.

Clippers 14, DevilCats 4

Clippers 11, DevilCats 7

HUDSON — The Columbia Clippers 10U swept Sunday’s travel baseball doubleheader with the DevilCats 10U, winning the first game, 14-4, and the second, 11-7.

In the opener, the Clippers won despite getting just two hits -- a single each by Evan Conte and Tanner Kelly. Braeden Barnes, Jayden Brantley and Otto Semp each drove in a run.

Conte and Keegan Mullins combined for the win, striking out four, walking one and allowing four runs and four hits.

In the nightcap, the Clippers scored six in the first and never looked back.

Tanner Kelly had a triple and single with two RBI. Mason Briscoe added a double and single, Jayden Brantley doubled and drove in two, Amarion Perry doubled and drove in a run, and Braeden Barnes singled and drove in a run.

Perry and Briscoe shared mound duties for the Clippers, allowing seven runs and four hits with nine strikeouts and five walks.

Outlaws 13, Blue Sox 8

COXSACKIE — Austin Bashford ripped two singles and drove in three runs to lead the Greene County Outlaws 8U to a 13-8 victory over the Saratoga-Wilton Blue Sox in Sunday’s travel baseball game.

Andrew Favicchio singled and drove in three runs for the Outlaws. Madi Van Alphen added two singles and an RBI and JJ Shah and Aiden Yusko each had a single and two RBI.

Caleb Frisbee scored three runs. Bashford scored twice and Braden Martin, Ethan Lenzo, Kaden Paterson, Carter Chase, Ethan Peters, Shah, Yusko and Van Alphen all scored one run.

Chase, Van Alphen, Lenzo, Paterson and Frisbee all pitched for the Outlaws, striking out nine, walking seven and allowing eight runs and three hits.
