Jan. 27

HYDE PARK — The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County present an International Holocaust Remembrance Day film screening of “Saul & Ruby’s Holocaust Survivor Band,” at 2 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home. This is a free, in-person public event, but registration is required. Visit www.fdrlibrary.org to register. Local health metrics permitting.

ALBANY — The Capital District Genealogical Society of New York monthly presentation, Genealogical Resources at the New York State Military Museum, will be held 1-2:30 p.m. Jan. 28 via Zoom. Jim Gandy graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Master of Library and Information Science in 1999. He has worked at the NYS Military Museum since 2002. He will be giving a quick survey of the different resources available to genealogists at the NYS Military Museum. Museum resources start from the early-to-mid 19th century all the way up to World War II. GLENVILLE — The Empire State Aerosciences Museum, 250 Rudy Chase Drive, Glenville, invites students 10–17 years old to join us for “Aviation Adventures” 1-3 p.m. the last Saturday of each month from January through June. The first class on Jan. 28 will focus on our two C-130 Hercules: “The Greatest Plane Ever!” Class on Feb. 25 will talk about the Harrier: the “Jump Jet” and March 25 we will examine the OH-6 Cayuse: the “Little Bird.” Classes will be held Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 25, April 29, May 27 and June 24. EAST DURHAM — The East Durham Volunteer Fire Company, 2401 Route 145, East Durham, will serve breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Jan. 29. The breakfast menu includes pancakes, French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage and more. Free will offering accepted.

SAUGERTIES — Comedy headliner, Linda Belt will be appearing at SPAF (Saugerties Performing Arts Center) at 9 p.m. Feb. 3 as part of the three-day Saugerties Snow Moon Festival. The show will be held after the moonlight market, indoors, at SPAF. There will be over 40 vendors as well as music by Roadhouse.
