Jay A. Melino 49, of Hudson died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home. Born in Hudson on July 23, 1971, he is the son of Joseph A. and Diane M. (Morrison) Melino. Jay was a Glazier and worked in construction with the family business JMMJ Development in Hudson. He was a graduate of Hudson High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He played football in high school, college and at the semi-pro level.
In addition to his parents Jay is survived by his grandmother Ann Morrison, 2 daughters: Natalie and Jacqueline Melino-Westfall, his sister Michele Melino (John Houghtaling), brother Michael Melino (Melissa Kaeding), as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jay was an avid sports fan. He loved the outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed boating, fishing and building a great campfire. He loved football and his Greenbay Packers, but more than anything, he loved his two beautiful daughters.
Calling hours will be Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at the Sacco Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Hudson, NY. Funeral services are Saturday 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Anthony Barratt officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Jay’s memory may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
