Barbara W. Fidanza, age 75, of Catskill, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Pine Haven Care Center in Philmont, New York. She was born on November 21, 1945 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late John A. and Helen (Breihof) Wymar.
Barbara was employed by Benjamin Moore & Co. for many years and Macy’s, after moving to Catskill. Barbara’s love of animals was evident in her love for her horses and horseback riding, as well the number of pet dogs and cats she cared for throughout her life.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Albert J. Fidanza, who passed in 2013. Barbara is survived by a cousin, Arlene Snyder of Florida, four step-sons, Michael, Richard, David and James Fidanza, and long-time friend, Cynthia VanLoan of Cairo, NY.
According to Barbara’s wishes, there were no calling hours and private cremation was arranged through Traver & McCurry Funeral Homes, Inc.
