Taconic Hills senior Emily Mottoshiski was named the 2021 Patroon Conference softball Most Valuable Player.
Mottoshski helped the Titans post an 11-5 overall record and reach the quarterfinal round of the Section II Class B playoffs. She batted .648 with 35 hits in 54 at-bats, including eight doubles, four triples and two home runs with 27 RBI.
On the mound, Mottoshiski also stood out, compiling a 10-5 record with a 1.94 earned run average, allowing just 27 earned runs in 97 innings pitched with 161 strikeouts.
Chatham’s J.B. Brantley Patroon earned Coach of the Year honors. Brantley guided the Panthers to an 18-1 overall record, winning the Patroon Conference championship and a second straight Section II Class C championship along the way.
