CATSKILL — Thomas Millett blasted a grand slam to lead the Bucks to a 7-3 victory over the Orioles in Thursday’s Hudson River Collegiate Baseball League game at Ricky Cramer Field.

Jake Hand had a triple and an RBI for the Bucks, who improved to 3-5. DeAndre Bowens chipped in with a single.

Jake Hutton had a single and two RBI for the Orioles, who drop a full game behind the first-place Storm in the league standings. Keegan Jarvais and Kyle Locklear both singled.

Matt Denatale pitched the first five innings for the Bucks, striking out nine, walking seven and allowing three runs and three hits. Zach LaBuff struck out two and walked one in one inning and James Murphy didn’t allow a run, hit or walk in his one inning of mound duty.

Tyrell Irvis struck out three, walked four and surrendered five runs and two hits in two innings for the Orioles. Jake Pletter allowed two runs and a hit with five strikeouts and one walk in three innings and Jarvais struck out all three batters he faced in his one inning on the mound.

League standings: Storm 7-2, Orioles 6-3, Mudcats 4-4, Knights 3-5, Bucks 3-5, Rattlers 2-6.
