Ichabod Crane 7, Albany Academy 0

ALBANY — Ichabod Crane won its third match without a loss on Thursday, defeating Colonial Council rival Albany Academy, 7-0.

Ichabod Crane coach Megan Yeats was pleased with her team’s performance.

“Albany Academy is always going to be a strong opponent, so it was a good win to pick up,” Yeats said. “I thought we approached the match in the right way considering that it was so windy. It is easy to go out there and become frustrated with the wind having an impact on the game.

“We knew that we were going to need to take the wind into consideration when it came to strategy. The bottom line is that it is windy for our opponents, too. To me, the way we handled ourselves demonstrated a lot of maturity.”
