VALATIE — Ichabod Crane won its fifth straight match on Thursday, defeating Holy Names, 4-3, in Colonial Council girls tennis action.

One of the best matches of the day came at No. 1 singles where Ichabod Crane’s unbeaten Elise Brennan defeated Holy Names’ Kate Regan, 6-4, 3-6, 10-3.

The Riders (5-0) travel to Ravena on Monday at 4:15 p.m.

Maple Hill 5, Hudson 0

HUDSON — Maple Hill jumped out to a 4-0 lead by halftime and went on to defeat Hudson, 5-0, in Thursday’s PAtroon Conference girls soccer game.

Alayna Fletcher led the wildcats (3-0) with two goals. Kylie Roloson had a goal and an assist, Isabella Thomas and Rebecca Hall each had a goal and Lucienne Sherling picked up an assist.

Maple Hill goalkeeper Mia Fleck had one save. Hudson’s Melena Jeune turned away 11 shots.

Maple Hill goes to Chatham and Hudson visits Catskill on Saturday at 10 a.m.
