ALBANY — Ashton Hotaling collected a double and single with two RBI to highlight a nine-hit attack as the Columbia Clippers 15U+ defeated the Albany Senators Blue 15+, 15-6, in Wednesday’s travel baseball game.
Thomas Pierro had a double and single with an RBI for the Clippers. Besham Burgess and Alberto Rivera each had two singles, Colton Hutson singled and LJ Morse drove in a run.
Antonio Troy (4k,2bb,3r,2h), LJ Morse (5k,5bb,1r), Alberto Rivera (1k,4bb,2r) and Hotaling (2k,1h) all pitched for the Clippers.

Voorheesville 17+ 1
Sean Scott scored on an error with two outs in the top of the seventh inning and the Greene County Outlaws 16U held on to edge Voorheesville 17+, 2-1, in Wednesday’s travel baseball game.
Ty Van Valkenburg led the Outlaws with a pair of singles. Scott, Brodie Montgomery and Sam Mozzillo all singled and Andrew Sager drove in a run.
Christian Tedford turned in a complete game performance on the mound for the Outlaws, scattering seven hits and allowing one run with six strikeouts and no walks.
Clippers 16U 9
Americans 16L 8
The Columbia Clippers 16U overcame a one-run deficit with two in the bottom of the sixth inning and went on to post a 9-8 victory over the Berkshire Americans 16L in Wednesday’s travel baseball game.
Derrick Dellea had two of the Clippers’ four hits, ripping a triple and single and driving in three runs. Kyle Bartlett singled and drove in a run, Zach Rowe singled and Mason Ferrer and Cam Horton both drove in a run.
Tyler Van Allen pitched the first three innings for the Clippers, walking four and allowing seven runs and four hits. Jack Mullins threw two innings, striking out three, walking one and allowing one run and two hits. Brady Holzhauer finished up and got the win, striking out four and walking one in two innings.
