CRARYVILLE — Hoosick Falls scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 victory over Taconic Hills in Thursday’s non-league field hockey match at Taconic Hills High School.

Emma McCart gave the Panthers a 1-0 edge with an unassisted goal in the opening quarter.

The score remained 1-0 until the final stanza when Tatum Hickey scored off an assist from Lyric Kriner.

Hoosick Falls outshot Taconic Hills, 12-2, and held a 9-0 advantage in penalty corners.

Taconic Hills goalkeeper had five saves. Hoosick Falls’ Marissa Landry didn’t have a save.

“Not a loss in my book,” Taconic Hills coach Angela Webster said. “To hold a powerful team like Hoosick Falls to nine shots on goal is a big accomplishment. Our improvement on our stops was key to a stronger game tonight.”

Taconic Hills (5-3-1) hosts Kingston on Monday at 4:15 p.m.

Onteora 1, C-A 0

BOICEVILLE — Abigial Nolan’s third quarter goal proved to be the game winners as Onteaora blanked Coxsackie-Athens, 1-0, in Thursday’s Mid-Hudson athletic League field hockey match,

“Our forward line utilized the sideline as well as strong crosses to create opportunities in the circle,” Onteora coach Emma Katz said. “Defense and midfields had great block tackles that helped to stop Coxsackie’s speed.”

Coxsackie-Athens hosts Pine Bush on Monday at 6:15 p.m.



Greenville 6, Maple Hill 0

GREENVILLE — Greenville posted a 6-0 victory over Maple Hill in Patroon Conference tennis action.
