GREENVILLE — No. 9 seed Holy Trinity scored singles runs in the first and second innings and held on to edge No. 8 Greenville, 2-1, in Tuesday’s opening round game in the Section II Class B Softball Tournament.

Greenville, which finishes up at 11-7, got a run back in the fifth when Shea Landversicht walked, went to second on Olivia Hughes, single, took third on a ground out and cored on an infield error. that would be as close as the Spartans would get, though, and Holy Trinity escaped with the victory.
