DUANESBURG — Matt Thorsen hit two more home runs and drove in six runs to lead Chatham to an 11-0 victory over Duanesburg in Thursday’s non-league baseball game.
Thorsen’s two homers give him 12 for the season. He has hit one out in 10 of the Panthers’ 12 games.
Tate Van Alstyne added three singles and an RBI to Chatham’s cause. Mike Pierro had two singles and an RBI, Anthony O’Dell collected two singles, Matt Radley and LJ Morse each had a single and an RBI and Noah Hutchinson and Cam Horton both singled.
Logan Smalley pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts.
Chatham improved to 12-0 overall.
SCOTIA — Brody Rogers fired a three-hitter as Maple Hill defeated Scotia, 7-1, in Thursday’s non-league baseball game.
Rogers struck out six and walked three in earning the victory.
Aidan Loszynski went 4 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Wildcats (11-2 overall). Jerry Stalker had two singles and two RBI, Colby Frazier, Austin Lensink and Ben Reickert all singled and drove in a run and Rogers, Christian Ferreira and Mat Munro all singled.
VALATIE — Kari Graziano threw a two-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts and no walks as Ichabod Crane defeated Mohonasen, 12-0, in Thursday’s Colonial Council softball game.
Graziano is now 9-0 with a 0.23 earned run average. She has struck out 114 and walked nine while allowing just five runs (two earned) in 59 innings.
Ava Heffner had two doubles and a single with three RBI for the Riders (12-0). Abbey Milazzo added a double and three RBI, Gabby Wendelken ripped a double and single, Emma Scheitinger and Makayla Walsh both had two singles and an RBI, Graziano and Olivia McCrudden each had a single and an RBI and Anna Siter singled.
EAST GREENBUSH — Mesick pitched a complete game to earn the win, scattering six hits and allowing one run with three strikeouts and no walks as Chatham defeated Columbia, 4-1, in Thursday’s non-league softball game.
Jordin Radley singled and drove in two runs for Chatham, the No. 2 ranked Class C team in New York State. Emily Mesick singled and drove in a run and Addi Perry and Anna Friedman singled.
LANSINGBURGH — Layla Enous and Guiliana Patregnani combined to throw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Lansingburgh past Cairo-Durham, 16-6, in Thursday’s non-league softball game.
Heaven Downing ripped two doubles and drove in five runs for the Knights. Giuliana Patregnani added two doubles and two singles with three RBI and Taylor Moran had four singles.
Addison Hall doubled and drove in two runs for Cairo-Durham. Gianna Helmedach and Noelle Amoroso each had a single.
Hall took the loss, striking out five, walking four and allowing 16 runs and 11 hits.
