CATSKILL — Jake Hand homered and doubled to help the Bucks take down the Orioles, 12-6, in Thursday’s Hudson River Collegiate Baseball League game at Ricky Cramer Field.

The Orioles loss officially clinches the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming playoffs for the defending league champion Storm.

DeAndre Bowen added a double and single to the Bucks’ attack. Thomas Millett ripped a double and Kyle Tedford, Adam Webber, James Murphy and Rama Culver all singled.

Ryan Seales had a pair of doubles for the Orioles. James Hutton and Tyrell Irvis each had two singles, Kyle Locklear doubled and Ricky Miller singled.

Joe Peregrim (4k,2h), Chris Hughes (1k,1bb,1r,1h), Zach LaBaff (1k,1bb,1h), Matt Denatale (1k,4bb,3r,2h), Murphy (2k,) and Cam Myers (1k,3bb,2r,2h) all pitched for the Bucks.

Jack Pletter (4k,4bb,8r,5h), Irvis (6k,3bb,4r,4h) and Jack Wyatt (1k,1bb) shared mound duties for the Orioles.

Outlaws 5, Niskayuna 0

NISKAYUNA — Casey Carroll fired a four-hit shutout and helped his own cause with a pair of singles as the Greene County Outlaws defeated the Niskayuna Warriors, 5-0, in Thursday’s Eastern New York 16U Travel Baseball game.

Carroll finished with six strikeouts and three walks in going the distance for the victory.

The Outlaws broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the fourth innings. Isaiah Maines and Dylan Norton singled, with Maines eventually scoring on an error. A ground out by Ethan Conrad chased home Norton with the second run of the inning.

They added three more runs in the fifth as Carroll singled, swiped second and scored on Matt Bowes base hit, Bowes advancing to second base on the throw in. After Maines walked and stole second, Norton came through with a two-run single.

The Outlaws (7-3) visit the Sorensco Falcons 15 on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Frozen Ropes 7, Outlaws 4

COXSACKIE — The Frozen Ropes Outlaws 15 posted a 7-4 victory over the Greene County Outlaws 14 in Wednesday’s Eastern New York Travel Baseball game at McQuade Park.

Marion Kohler led the Outlaws with a double and single. Miguel Madera added two singles, Nate Shok-Timot singled and Shane DeRose and Brodie Montgomery both drove in a run.

Montgomery pitched the first 4 1/3 innigns for the Outlaws, striking out six, walking three and allowing five runs and 10 hits. Kohler threw the final 2 2/3 innings, striking out three and and surrendering two runs and three hits.

ENY Blackhawks 13, Catskill Mountain Cougars 2

COBLESKILL — Austin Roberts and Nolan Space homered and Logan Bower scattered six hits as the Eastern New York Blackhawks 12+ defeated the Catskill Mountain Cougars, 13-2, in an Eastern New York Travel Baseball game on Thursday.

Roberts also had a single and three RBI, while Space finished with three RBI for the Blackhawks. Connor Brignull added a double, single and an RBI, Patrick Graziano had three singles and an RBI, Zach Ellis two singles, Alan Hamilton a single and two RBI and Bower a single and an RBI.

Bower turned in a complete game performance on the mound, striking out five, walking six and allowing two runs.
