H.S. SOFTBALL: Chatham tops catskill to remain unbeaten

Tim Martin/Columbia-Greene Media Chatham’s Adryanna Jennings collected a double, two singles and three RBI in the Panthers’ victory over Catskill on Friday.

CATSKILL — Adryanna Jennings had two doubles and a single with three RBI and Olive Mountain added three singles and four RBI to highlight Chatham’s 21-1 win over Catskill on Friday.

Jordy Simmons doubled, singled and drove in three runs for the Panthers (7-0). Allyson Engel and Erin Madsen both doubled and drove in a run, Amanda Roberts doubled, Hannah Kelly singled and drove in two, Hannah Braley collected two singles and an RBI, Emily Mesick and Haley Pulver had a single and an RBI each and Hannah Taylor singled.

Alex Espel and Aaliyah Shook both had a double for Catskill. Ava Edmonds added two singles and Alexandra Hallam singled.

Mesick and Engel combined for the win, striking out six, walking three and allowing one run and five hits.

Ashley Shook and Kaitlyn Neary pitched for Catskill, teaming up to allow 21 runs and 17 hits with two strikeouts and seven walks.

ICC 12, ’Burgh 0

LANSINGBURGH — Bella Milazzo threw a one-hit shutout with 8 strikeouts and Clare Knapp blasted two home runs as Ichabod Crane crushed Lansingburgh, 12-0, in FRiday’s Colonial Council softball game.

Knapp also singled and finished with 4 RBI for the Riders (5-0). Laney Altomer had a double and single with 2 RBI, Milazzo doubled and singled and drove in a run, Mackenzie Wendelken and Ava Heffner both had a double and an RBI, Torre Tamez singled and Morgan Ormerod had an RBI.

“Overall, we really hit the ball well,” Ichabod Crane coach Tracy Nytransky-McComb said. “We also made some nice plays on the defensive side of the ball and Bella pitched a nice game for us.”

Pine Plains 12, Taconic Hills 2

PINE PLAINS — Lindsay Faranaccio went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI and pitched a complete game t lead Pine Plains to a 12-2 non-league victory over Taconic Hills on Saturday.

Faranaccio struck out nine, walked one and allowed two runs and 11 hits in going the distance for the wn.

Miranda Koch had two doubles and a single with two RBI for the Bombers. Lou Belanger had two doubles and a single with an RBI, Emily Lindquist collected three singles, Lily Fanea and Chloe Baden each contributed a single and an RBI and Kris Wilson singled.

Emily Mottoshiski doubled and singled for the Titans. Grace Alvarez added a double, Skyler Waterhosue had two singles and an RBI, Ava Skabowski and Kylie Johnson each had two singles and Kailey Proper and Autumn Sachs both singled.

Mottoshiski was the losing pitcher, surrendering 12 runs and 17 hits with 10 strikeouts and one walk.
