HUDSON — Matt Bowes had a grand slam and a single with five RBI as Hudson rolled to an 18-4 victory over Cairo-Durham in Monday’s Patroon Conference baseball game.
Isaiah Maines went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the 6-1 Bluehawks. Kasey Moore went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Jordan Moon went 3 for 3 with two RBI, Vic Gorman had a double and single with four RBI, Jon Bernockie had two singles and an RBI and Jake Hromada doubled.
Ethan Phillips doubled and drove in two runs for Cairo-Durham. James Young singled and drove in two runs, Joey Arp had two singles and Alek Wagor singled.
Jordan Moon pitched four innings for Hudson, striking out five and allowing four runs and five hits. Maines pitched one inning, striking out three.
Phillips and Young combined for the Mustangs, striking out two, walking nine and allowing 18 runs and 18 hits.
Maple Hill 13, C-A 5
Gavin Van Kempen blasted two home runs with five RBI and struck out 10 batters in four innings to lead Maple Hill past Coxsackie-Athens, 13-6, in Monday’s Patroon Conference baseball game.
Jack Wildermuth had a double and single for the Wildcats. Brody Rogers contributed three singles and two RBI, Sam Gamello had two singles and an RBI, Eli Charlebois had two singles, Matt Jung singled and drove in a run and Jerry Stalker and Enrique Feliz singled.
Patrick McManus collected two singles and an RBI for C-A. Sam Mozzillo, Keegan O’Callaghan, Dillon Hynes and Michael O’Connor all singled and Andrew Sager drove in a run.
Van Kempen, Wildermuth, Rogers and Colby Frazier all pitched for Maple Hill, striking out 13, walking four and allowing six runs and six hits.
Hynes and Mozzillo shared pitching duties for C-A, allowing 13 runs and 14 hits with four strikeouts and six walks.
