GREENVILLE — Greenville had three players reach double figures in scoring en route to a 57-17 victory over Hudson in Wednesday’s Patroon Conference girls basketball game at Greenville High School.
Emily Smith led the Spartans with 15 points. Bryn Fitzmaurice had 11 and Mikaela Crawley added 10.
Greenville eld 7-3 after one quarter, 21-7 at halftime and 43-12 after three.
“We did a great job keeping the ball pressure and getting in the passing lanes,” Greenville co-coach Steve Gipprich said. “Hudson came out physical and ready to play. Transition opportunities were there for the Lady Spartans, which helped extend the lead in the second half. Emily Smith controlling the tempo for Greenville played a pivotal role in outcome of the game.”
Choudmya Box and Darriell Johnson both had five points to lead Hudson.
“We were down six players tonight,” Greenville co-coach Kevin Smith said. “The ladies showed incredible resilience and effort. Hudson is a well-coached and hard-working team. The score is not indicative of the closeness of this game.”
