Columbia-Greene wins one, loses one

HUDSON — The Columbia-Greene Community College men’s basketball team split a pair of Region III games over the weekend.

Thw Twins fell to North Country Community College on Sunday, 119-80, and defeated Clinton Community College on Saturday, 64-61.

Vondell Livingston scored 34 points to lead North Country in Sunday’s game. LeShaun Smith added 29 points, 15 rebounds and four blocked shots and Carol Davis chipped in with 16 points.

Former Hudson High standout Zack Hedgepeth topped the Twins with 19 points. Kaijah Rodgers had 17 points and nine assists, Cameron Thomas 17 points and 14 rebounds, Anthony Diaz 12 points and Jason Davis nine rebounds.

On Saturday, the Twins fell behind Clinton, 34-32, at halftime, but wnt on to outscore the Cougars, 32-27 in the second half to nail down the victory.

Thomas had a double-double for Columbia-Greene, scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Davis added 13 points and seven rebounds, Myles Ukoh 10 points and 17 rebounds and Rodgers seven points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Columbia-Greene (9-14) goes to Hudson Valley Community College on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
