CRARYVILLE — Eighth-grader Keith Robinson drained a clutch three-pointer in the closing seconds to give Hudson a 58-55 victory over Taconic Hills in Friday’s Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

Taconic Hills got off to a fast start and built a 16-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Titans led 27-24 at halftime and 40-38 through three quarters, but Hudson used a 20-15 scoring edge over the final eight minutes to pull out the victory.

Connor Tomaso was Hudson’s top scorer with 16 points. Isaiah Maines added 14.

Kobe Van Alstyne had a game-high 23 points for Taconic Hills. Zach Rowe had 12 and Neil Howard III 10.

Hudson (2-0) hosts Greenville on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Taconic plays at Webutuck on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Maple Hill 51, Chatham 49

CASTLETON — Maple Hill built a 10-point lead by the end of the third quarter then held off a late Chatham rally to post a 51-49 victory in Friday’s Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

The Wildcats trailed 8-7 after one quarter, but went up 22-16 at halftime and 38-28 after three.

Ben Marra had 14 points and eight rebounds and Ethan Harrington scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds for Maple Hill.

Matt Thorsen’s 21 points topped Chatham. Tate Van Alstyne chipped in with 10 points.

Chatham (0-1 Patroon, 1-1 overall) goes to Rensselaer on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Maple Hill (2-0) travels to Watervliet on Dec. 14.

COXSACKIE — Coxsackie-Athens outscored Rensselaer, 14-8, in overtime to pull out a 63-57 Patroon Conference boys basketball victory on Friday.

C-A led 20-16 after one quarter but fell behind 28-26 by halftime and still trailed 42-40 after three, before outscoring the rams 9-7 in the fourth period to force overtime.

Robbie Hughes led the Riverhawks with 22 points. Dillon Hynes had 17 an Jordan Williams 10.

Xavier Baker had 19 for Rensselaer. Malachi Spicerman contributed 15.

Coxsackie-Athens (1-1) visits Watervliet on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Fans planning on attending the game must show proof of a Covid-19 vaccination.

CAIRO — Sean Haye scored 24 points to spark Catskill to a 75-30 victory over Cairo-Durham in Friday’s Patroon Conference boys basketball game.

Jacob Devlin had 17 points for the Cats. Azar Brantley added 15, Lucas Konsul had nine and Patrick Darling and Cullen Fulling each had five.

The Cats played without Kellen Gibbs, who was injured late in Tuesday’s game against Hudson.

Catskill (2-0) visits Taconic Hills and Cairo-Durham goes to Greenville on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

COLONIAL

Cohoes 69, ICC 56

COHOES — Royal Brown dropped 36 points, including six three-pointers to highlight Cohoes, 69-56 Colonial council boys basketball victory over Ichabod Crane on Friday.

The Tigers pulled away from a 10-10 tie after one quarter to go up 30-22 at halftime and led 46-37 at the end of three.

Ramere Brown added 18 points to Cohoes’ attack.

Alex Schmidt scored 15 points to lead the Riders. Brett Richards added 13 and Dylan Colwell had 11.

Ichabod Crane (0-1) entertains Mohonasen on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
