To the editor:

I am running for Claverack Town Supervisor in this year’s election. I believe people can make the best decision for themselves at the voting booth when they know exactly where the candidates stand on the issues that matter to them. That’s why I have brought openness and transparency to my campaign, and why I will work to bring openness and transparency to our town’s government.

I was recently invited to participate in a candidates’ forum that would have been an opportunity for Claverack residents to ask questions and hear answers directly from myself and our current Town Supervisor, Kippy Weigelt. Unfortunately, I was recently notified that Mr. Weigelt declined to participate, denying the people of our town an opportunity to attend what could have been an informative and valuable event.

While this is disappointing, I want the voters of Claverack to know that I am keeping my promise to be open and transparent. To accomplish this, I’m producing, and sharing on my website, short videos where I answer questions from voters. Whether you want to know my position on an issue facing our town, or just want to know my favorite food, I have you covered. Visit to view the videos and submit your questions.

I believe I am the right leader to move Claverack forward, to build a town that works for all residents, and am optimistic that the people of Claverack will agree at the ballot box this year.
