To the editor:

Bob and Ginny Gurley would like to share the letter they received from Michele Ferrauilo, CTRC, Stratton VAMC, Albany, in response to the annual Christmas celebration for hospitalized veterans.

Michele wrote: Thank you so much once again thinking of our residents. Your thoughtfulness and kindness truly lifted the spirits of our residents during COVID 19. As you know the medical cneter is taking every precaution to protect our Veterans and with that comes with no visitors. So, every little act of kindness helps. They truly enjoyed and appreciated the fits that they received. They missed seeing all of you and so did the staff.

Thank you to your community and the Veteran Service Organizations who played a part in this event. The residents enjoyed opening each gift provided. Some residents chose to wait unti Christmas to open theirs. We were even able to provie some cheer to our Veterans on the medical units. Thank you for the time you spend shopping, orgaznizing and preparing for this event. The residents and staff wish to send you and your crew a huge thank you and hoping we can all see you soon.
