To the editor:

On April 20, much to my surprise, I was honored with a birthday parade to help celebrate my 95th birthday. Lining up at St. Mary’s Church in Coxsackie, escorted by the Coxsackie police, a motorcade of at least 40 cars filled with wonderful and caring friends and relatives, and followed by Coxsackie Hose Company -3 with caring drivers, paraded down to our beautiful Coxsackie park to wish me a happy day.

I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to join in the festivities to make my 95th birthday a day to appreciate and remember forever. A special thank you goes to Alice Gatt and Regina McGrath for organizing and carrying out this wonderful gesture, and also to our good mayor, Mark Evans, for allowing this parade to take place.
