To the editor:
It is my strong belief that Patrick Doyle should be chosen by the voters of the Town of Austerlitz to be their next Highway Superintendent.
His 17-year career as an employee of the Highway Department of the Town of Canaan, the past two years as Deputy Highway Superintendent, gives him qualifications and skills which the other candidate simply doesn’t have.
But don’t take my word for it. Actually compare the employment of each candidate. Dig into the specifics and don’t settle for generalities offered by supporters of any candidate. Patrick Doyle’s campaign literature has presented those specifics as they relate to him. Let the other candidate do the same.
If every voter, regardless of party enrollment or lack thereof, brings to bear an open-minded consideration of each candidate’s actual qualifications, I am confident that Patrick Doyle will be elected, as he and the Town deserve, Austerlitz Highway Superintendent.
