To the editor:

There seems to be some discussion within the city government regarding the continuation of the Hudson River tour boats at the waterfront. I can’t understand why anyone would ever want to have such a major tourist attraction disappear. For 18 years Hudson Cruises has provided tours and entertainment on the Hudson. The Marika has hosted many wedding receptions and gay pride functions while thousands of tourists have enjoyed narrated tours on the majestic Hudson from the decks of the Spirit. It would be a sad day indeed if this valuable attraction vanished and left us with little access to the river. The Hudson is a treasure in our back yard. Let’s keep it open for everyone.
