To the editor:

The Columbia County health department is to be commended. My 93-year-old husband and I (76 yo) received our first Moderna vaccinations against Covid-19 this morning “at their clinic held at Columbia-Greene Community College.”

All went very smoothly, quickly, and safely — everyone masked and distanced, furniture and pens disinfected. We were in and out in an hour and 10 minutes, including our wait time outside (we’d arrived early) and our 15 minutes observation time after the shot. The injection itself was all but painless. We urge anyone eligible for this vaccination to get it — for your sake and that of our community!
