PRATTSVILLE — Here’s hoping all of you had a great Labor Day weekend and enjoyed the day with family and friends. Reminder that schools are now open and please obey all laws that insure the safety of our children. Students, good luck to you as you return to school.

It was enjoyable talking to the hosts of local yard sales. All are willing to share their goods, as in free, with local charitable organizations. Louise LeBrun and Janet Mower are good sales persons and conversationalists. Paula Scary shared lots of local farm history of the West Settlement area. Wish everyone would start writing down their memories and knowledge of what used to be in our local area.

Peter and Marcia Gurley Tocci of Mullica Hill, NJ, yes the Mullica Hill that got hit with the tornado but were fortunate enough in that they only got a few gusts of high wind in their particular area. However a few blocks over, homeowners suffered some damage. So thankful they are okay.

Continued get well wishes go out to Lou Schmidt.
