Heartbreaking news on the passing of beloved Missy Runyan last week. There are no words to express the sadness that is felt by loved ones. So many animals, large and small, feathered and furry were rescued and restored by The Friends of the Feathered and Furry Wildlife Center because of Missy’s dedication and love for all creatures.

There is a food pantry available at the 1-3 p.m. Wednesdays and 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturdays at Tannersville Village Hall. If you have questions, you may call 518-589-5787 or email kaaterskillumc@gmail.com.

There will be a Fall Rummage Sale 3-6 p.m. Oct. 15 and 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 16 at the East Jewett United Methodist Church, 2252 Route 23C, East Jewett. Bag sale $4 per bag and 5th bag is free.

Happy birthday to Charina Falke on Oct. 18. Oct. 19 is Kathleen Hilbert’s birthday.

The Lexington Farmers Market will be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 16 under the pavilion at the Lexington Municipal Building, 3542 Route 42, Lexington. All kinds of good things — products, produce, crafts — available from local vendors. The Town of Lexington Historical Society will also be holding a bake sale at the market.

Bet you would enjoy a Roast Pork Dinner with homemade pies. The Kaaterskill UMC is holding this free will offering dinner 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Tannersville Rescue Squad Building, take out only.

A roast beef dinner will be served 4-8 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Lanesville UMC, Route 214, Lanesville, take out only. The cost is $15.

Get your costumes ready and come on over to the Halloween Spooktacular, Main Street, Village of Tannersville 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Featuring Hunter-Tannersville Central School S.P.T.O. The 22nd Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored by the Hope Restoration Church, 117 Route 296, Windham, will be held 4:30-7 p.m. Nov. 5. Due to COVID restrictions this will be drive through take out only. Same gourmet chefs and same delicious meal.

Lexington/West Kill Administrative Council will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 1 in the church hall.
