Virginia Mae Corey Robare

Virginia Mae Corey Robare, 79 of East Durham, N.Y. passed away on May 1st, 2020 at home with her family by her side. Born July 8th, 1940 in Northhampton, M.A. Virginia is the daughter of the late Albert R. Robare and Flora (Yell) Robare.

Virginia was a longtime resident of Chatham N.Y. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 26 years, Charles H. Corey SR. Virginia was known most for her bold attitude. Virginia was spunky and witty. Virginia’s grandchildren describe her as a “bad ass” grandma. Anyone who knew Virginia would say the same. Virginia touched many lives. Her family has many memories and stories about her. Virginia will be missed dearly. Virginia was also a dedicated employee of Kaz in Hudson, N.Y. for 20 years before retiring. Survived by her children Diane H. (Tanco Corey) Robare, of East Durham, N.Y. Ann M. (Corey) Boughton of Chatham, N.Y., and Charles H. Corey JR. of East Durham, N.Y. Survived by her grandchildren Sheila Boughton and Eric Boughton of Schenectady, N.Y. Tabitha Boughton of East Durham, N.Y. Daniel Boughton of Cairo, N.Y. Charles H. Corey the 3rd of Hudson, N.Y. Brittany and Harold Boughton of Chatham, N.Y. Predeceased Granddaughter Tiffany Boughton of Chatham, N.Y. Survived by her great grandchildren Crystal and Christopher Wolfersteig, Christian and Kyla Grimes, Kaitlyn Bost, Destiny Boughton, Paul Lawson JR and Angelus Lawson, Christian Delarosa, Predeceased great-granddaughter Marilyn Cintron. Survived by her great-great grandchildren Aiden Boughton-Rose, Jayden Meddaugh, and Arabella Maynard. The family would also like to thank Community Hospice for the wonderful care given to Virginia. A special thanks to Dolcé, Virginia’s nurse through Hospice. Services will be at a later date.
