Viola (Black) Krambeck passed away peacefully at home July 16, 2021.

Born May 21, 1931 in Flushing, NY, she is the daughter of Joseph and Emily (Tietz) Black.

Viola was a machine operator at the Universal Match Corporation. She then worked at Columbia Memorial Hospital until retirement. Viola was a member of the Hudson American Legion Auxilliary.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Al) Schofield of CT, David Alger of OK, Michael (Sharon) Alger of Stuyvesant, Dennis (Mary) Alger of Livingston, and Cynthia Alger of Kinderhook. Also 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by her husband Harold Krambeck, daughter Rebecca Arcuri, and son Gerald Alger Jr.

Visitation hours at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home are Tuesday July 20, from 9:00am-11:00am. A funeral service following visitation time will be at 11:00. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
