Phoebe Lewis

Phoebe Lewis age 77 passed away peacefully at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson NY on January 5th, 2023. Phoebe originally from Norfolk CT a daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Helen Lillian Bailey Higley. Phoebe loved puzzles crocheting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Phoebe thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of her late dog Minky.

Phoebe was a loving mother sister and grandmother. Phoebe leaves behind four sons and a daughter as well as three granddaughters whom she adored. She leaves behind her children Sonny and his lifelong partner Lisa of Massachusetts, her son Michael and his lifelong roommate George of New York, her son Richard, and his wife Jewel of Florida, as well as a daughter Denise and husband Matthew of Connecticut, she also leaves behind a son Charles. Phoebe also leaves behind brothers and sisters. Edwin Higley of South Carolina, Eleanor miles of Connecticut, Vicky Jackson of Maryland, and Ralph Higley of Connecticut. She is also leaving behind her pride and joys her granddaughters. Kelly of Connecticut and Rose and Shelby of Massachusetts. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Phoebe was predeceased by brothers Howard Higley, Henry (Hank)Higley, and Louis Higley as well as sister Margaret Higley. Phoebe was also predeceased by nephew Anthony Higley and a niece Julia Bryce Higley Truelove.

No services have been planned at this time, a celebration of life will be planned and held at a later date.
