Raleigh, N.C. - Nancy Hallenbeck of Raleigh, NC formerly of Catskill, NY and Margate, FL died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.

Born September 3, 1930, in Catskill, NY, she was the eldest daughter of Phillip and Elvera Cifelli of Catskill. On June 6, 1954, Nancy wed the love of her life Jim Hallenbeck of Hudson, NY.

Nancy attended grade school and high school at St. Patrick’s in Catskill. Nancy was employed for many years at the Athens Mill in Athens, NY. Jim and Nancy moved to Florida in 1978. They lived in Margate until 2001 when they moved to Raleigh, NC.

Survivors include two sons Ben Hallenbeck and Jim Hallenbeck Jr. and his wife Lisa Lofchie, all of Raleigh; two grandsons, Jason Hallenbeck of Lake Worth, FL and Jack Hallenbeck of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Diane Lane of Catskill; many nieces and nephews; and one great grandson.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband Jim Hallenbeck, Sr., her daughter Sheri Marie Hallenbeck; one sister Carmela Allerton and one brother Carmine Cifelli.

Nancy was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to cook, bake, sew, and do arts and crafts.

Calling hours and a service will be planned in Catskill, NY at a later date.
