Mary Ellen Nostrand, 82, of Valatie, NY, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born May 6, 1937 in Freeport, NY, she was a Housekeeper for 43 years at Barnwell Health Facilities in Valatie. Mary was an avid bingo player and loved her cats and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, George and Byron Nostrand both of Valatie, Mary Ann Nostrand of Hudson, Muriel Wallach and Eric Nostrand both of Niverville, 4 grandchildren, Joshua Pemberton, Jason Wallach, Melanie and Colleen Nostrand, 2 great grandchildren, Evan and Loren Wallach. She was predeceased by her husband George Nostrand Jr.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, contributions may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society, 111 Humane Society Rd., Hudson, NY 12534. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie NY.
