Margaret Rose Stabile, age 75, of Palenville, died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Albany Medical Center Hospital with her family by her side. Margie was born June 30, 1945 in Brownwood, Texas, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (DeBenedictus) Kordich.

Margie was an employee of the Greene County Tourism Department prior to her retirement. She was a communicant at St. Anthony’s Friary and St. Patrick’s Church in Catskill.

Margie is survived by her devoted husband Bob Stabile; her loving siblings, Mary Ann Kordich and Nicholas (Paula) Kordich; brother-in-law, Frank (Eileen) Stabile; step-daughters, Cheryl Toole, Kerri Stabile, Jennifer Stabile; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Dr. Marianne Mustafa) Kordich, Tara Kordich, Bonnie (George) Taylor, Susan Stabile; granddaughter, Avery Toole. There is also an extended family consisting of her aunt, Jean DeBenedictus; and many DeBenedictus, Antonelli, Luvera, Kordich, Pavlovich, and Carrado cousins.

Margie touched so many lives and left a lasting impression on them.

She was predeceased by a nephew, Frank Stabile III.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Anthony’s Friary, Catskill. Interment will be at Palenville Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a memorial is being planned at a later date and will be announced.
