Lynda Hope Katt Davis 74 of Acra, NY died unexpectedly on Monday January 11, 2021 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Lynda was born at her grandmother’s Kring Nursing Home in Hudson, NY on September 14, 1946 to the late James and Elaine Katt. She is survived by her husband Donald B. Davis of 53 years, brother Douglas Katt(Constance), and sister Irene Pough. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Katt.
Don and Lynda were married on October 8, 1967 and were blessed with children: Jennifer(Kori) Cira, Wendy Davis (Kevin), and Michael Davis; 7 Grandchildren: Mathew(Tiffany), Molly(Bryan), Andrew, Ryan, Isaac(Alexis), Ryan(Makaila), Lacy, and Kevin; 2 Great Grandchildren: Lydia and Vincent; as well as several nieces and nephews, and extended family too numerous to count.
Lynda was well-loved and respected by her family, the most precious part of her life. Her most treasured involvement was being part of 5 living generations of females, not only once but twice. The first pyramid when her granddaughter Molly was born and then again when Molly’s daughter Lydia was born. Lynda devoted all of her time to her family, traveling immeasurable distances, supporting her kids and the members of Hudson Valley Assembly -43 International Order of Rainbow for girls, and Robert R. Livingston chapter order of DeMolay. Having been an advisor for these organizations, she was known as “Mom” but through her grandchildren, came to be known as “Nannie”. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, having a great appreciation for vacationing with family and close friends. The love for travel began by accompanying her husband, while stationed in Frankfurt, Germany with the Air Force and ended at their favorite destination vacationing at their timeshare in Disney
Most recently Lynda was an active member of the Maranatha Evangelical Mission Church in Chatham NY.

Full Life Wesleyan Church, 3 Bogardus Ave, Catskill NY. Fellowship to follow at Breezy Lawn Farm, 5594 Rt 23, Acra.
A graveside service is planned for Monday 1/18 at 11:00 in the Town of Catskill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Lynda to her church or the American Heart Association.
