Hudson - Passionate and hardworking family man Junior Alexander Mignott (68) passed away in the presence of his loving family on April 06th, 2024 in Albany Med. He was the son of the late Beryl and Headley Powell. He was survived by his devoted partner Margie Westley.
Junior arrived in New York finding employment at Hettlings farms where he became the fastest apple picker. Being a caretaker for many years before joining Livingston Hills (formerly known as The Adventist home) enjoying 35 years there. During his time there meeting Tonia Bennett whom he raised 5 children with. Working many side jobs and caretaking properties he loved. Enjoying the simple things in life such as working hard, his cat lily, connecting with family and friends, and traveling back home to Jamaica often.
Junior is Survived by his father Headley in Jamaica. His Children Kereisha, Dwight, Colin and wife Alexis, Latoya, Kevin, Michael, Jordan. Also survived by 9 siblings and grandchildren Kamarie, Naomi, Kamoy, Jaley, Kayden, Hunter, Jaliyah, Jayden, Lee and many more he adored. Junior is predeceased by his brother Michael and mother Beryl. He leaves behind dearly beloved family, friends, and colleagues.
No one who he met will ever forget his infectious smile and sense of humor. Junior will be a light that shines bright in the hearts of those he has touched forever.
Visitation hours at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home will be Saturday April 13th, from 2 to 5 p.m.
