Josephine A. Law

Josephine A. Law, 79, of Claverack, passed away Saturday June 13, 2020 at home. Born December 4, 1940 in Old Chatham, she is the daughter of John and Mamie (Sclafani) Menegio.

Josephine was a seamstress for over 30 years at the Hudson Knitting Mills. Following her career in the garment industry, she worked at The Firemen’s Home and Timberlyn Heights in the housekeeping department. Josephine loved animals, especially cats, and she would care for every one that came near her. She loved to watch westerns, and play tablet games on her ipad.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Denise (Donald) Kickery and Lisa (Keith) Collins, grandchildren Jordan Collins, Cody Kickery and Nikki Kickery, along with a great granddaughter Ciara. Josephine is also survived by a sister Nancy Menegio and brother John Menegio. Her husband Willis Law, and brother Mario Menegio are predeceased.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of her family. Contributions in memory of Josephine are encouraged to be made to the SPCA or Columbia Greene Humane Society.
