Henry Rivenburg Jr., 78, of Claverack, passed away January 1, 2021 in Hudson. Born October 12, 1942 in Hudson, he is the son of Henry M. and Margaret (Rousseau) Rivenburg.

Henry was a master diesel mechanic for Red Star TNT in Glenmont. Henry served in the United States Army Honorably from 1961 to 1967 stationed in Kentucky and Germany. He loved watching television, racing at Lebanon Valley, and socializing with his friends at Bob’s Restaurant. Henry especially loved teasing and joking around with his grandchildren. His rough exterior definitely camouflaged his soft and kind interior.

Left to cherish Henry’s memory are his children, Randy Rivenburg, Scott Rivenburg, and Amanda Weaver, eight grandchildren, Tyler, Zoey, Scott Jr., Logan, Ryan, Emily, Arianna, and Baileigh, two brothers Michael and Fred, along with his former wife and friend Sandi Rivenburg, sister in law Deborah Wilde, former mother in law Edith Knott, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Henry was predeceased by a brother Richard, and father in law Harry Knott.

Henry’s family wishes to thank the nurses on the Telemetry Floor at CMH for their heartfelt care and compassion during this most difficult time.

A Memorial Service honoring Henry’s life will be Sunday January 17, 2012 from 3:00-5:00pm at the Stockport American Legion.

Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
