Harley Brian Dole

Harley Brian Dole 59, of Stockport died at his home on Friday February 14, 2020 following a long illness. Born on June 6, 1960 in Schenectady, he was the son of Sandra Hatfield (Welch) Dole and the late Robert Dole. Harley was a laborer for many years with Laborers Local 1000 in Poughkeepsie. After graduating High School, he served in the U.S. Army for several years before beginning his career with the Laborers Union. Harley had a special love for animals and always made room in his home to adopt dogs in need of rescuing. No matter how difficult or cruel a life a dog had, each one could always count on a life filled with unending love, companionship and plenty of adventures at “Camp Dole”. It was truly their forever home.

He is survived by his wife Deborah A. Dole, sisters: Heather and (Charlie) Hampton and Sherry Dole, as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A Memorial Service will be on Saturday March 14, 2020 beginning at 1PM at the Sacco Funeral Home 700 Town Hall Drive Hudson, NY. Memorial contributions in his memory are requested to his favorite organization: The Columbia-Greene Humane Society 125 Humane Society Road Hudson, NY 12534
