Grace C. Seers, fondly known as “Old Grandma or Aunt Grace” age 96 years, passed away on January 26, 2021, at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, N.Y.

She was born on September 23, 1924, in New Baltimore, N.Y. and is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Couser.

Besides her parents, Grace is predeceased by her beloved husband William C. Seers and her son William C. Seers, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter Karen A. Homicz, her daughter in law Pat, her cherished grandchildren Bonnie, Stacey, Charles (Tammy), Rachel (James) and Kelli (David), also her adored great grandchildren Serena, Daniel (Monica) and Alyssa. And her great- great grandchild Zelda, and also many other family relatives and friends.

During Grace’s lifetime, she retired from The U. S. Post Office holding the position of Postmaster, she also was a fixture at The Winter Clove Resort in Round Top, N.Y.

Grandma served her community with a smile on her face and spirit in her step. Her love and devotion to her family is what kept her going. Grace’s love of books and reading became her favorite pass time.

Services will be held at Richards Funeral Home of the Mid- Hudson Valley, Inc., 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be made at www.richardsfuneralhomeinc.net.
