Frances Eleanor Preusser
June 18, 1929 – June 27, 2020 Frances Eleanor Preusser, 91, entered her eternal resting place on June 27th 2020, with her loving family at her side. Born June 18, 1929, Frances was one of 14 children born to Miller Ray and Mary Etta (Harder) Shutts and a lifelong resident of Martindale, NY.
A 1947 graduate of Roeliff Jansen School, she was actively involved in basketball, softball and cheerleading. Fran was a dedicated homemaker to her husband Ted and 6 children. She later joined the work force at Eden Park Nursing Home and retired after 25 years of compassionate service. Fran was a strong, loyal and extremely spiritual woman and member of the Martindale Community Baptist Church with many great qualities that she passed on to her family and all that she would meet. She took great pride in her family, her children and her grand children, leaving them with nothing but beautiful, funny, and loving memories. She never lost her sense of humor and quick wit, which is something that will be missed most of all. She met her love and soul mate, Ted, and they married December 26, 1948.
Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years Theodore, brothers John, Willis, Raymond, Harold, Harmon Clyde, Richard and Clifford, as well as her sisters Grace, Ruth, Nellie, Alberta, and Dorothy, daughter-in-law Nancy Neal Preusser and 1 great grandchild Gustav Affaunt Preusser.
She is survived by her 6 children Theodore, Raymond (Beverly), Robert (Theresa), James (Cindy), Zoe (Jody), and Deborah (Robert). Also survived by grandchildren Jessica, Daniel, Timothy and Phillip Preusser; Scott, Sean, Esteban and Jahn Preusser and Stacy (Sharron); Jamie and Christie Preusser and Jenna (Rossman); Aaron, Jonathan and Jeremy Preusser; Meredith (Bossinger), Lindsay (Baldwin); Mia, Deona and Taylor Donahue and Kirsten Sultzbaugh. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at the Bates and Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home on Thursday, July 2nd with viewing from 11-1 followed by a service at the funeral home and burial in the Mellenville Union Cemetery.
