Edward W. Konow, Jr.

Edward W. Konow, Jr., 85, of Claverack passed away March 12, 2020.

He was born July 30th, 1934 in Queens, N.Y., son of Edward Konow and Elsie Barteis Konow. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the Westwind during the Korean War, he was pack leader of Cub Scout Pack 121 in Claverack, he served as a NYS Trooper stationed in Claverack, he was STOP DWI coordinator for Columbia County and he worked at Twin County Recovery Services in Hudson. He was a loving husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, Josephine of 60 years, 2 sons Tom and Chris (Kerry), 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Edward W. Konow III.
