Drucilla Lee Myers

Drucilla Lee Myers, of Stuyvesant, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 after a long illness.

Born February 11, 1933, she was the eldest daughter of the late John and Mary Huyck of Valatie. Drucilla graduated Martin H. Glynn School. She worked for a time for New York State, Jamesway retail store and later at the “Treasure Shop” where she was lovingly known as “The Fudge Lady”. She was also treasurer of her Senior Citizen Club until she became ill. Known for her grace and kindness, she leaves brothers Charles (Nancy) Huyck of East Schodack, John (Marilyn) Huyck of Dayton, OH; a sister Dorothy Praga of Kinderhook. Drucilla is predeceased by her husband Leon and brothers Ben and Howard “Duke” Huyck. Her loving and faithful children include Roberta (Raymond) Shields of Stuyvesant, Judith (John) Kitchie of Ghent and Robert of Austerlitz. Also a cherished, ever-faithful grandson Scott (Kenny) Folmsbee among several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and Drucilla’s loyal friend Mary Jane, who spent hours with her during her illness. A true loving heart! Drucilla’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the beloved staff of Community Hospice. God bless each and every one!

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 2:30pm at the Mellenville Union Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
