Donald William Wallis, fondly known as Uncle Donald, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2021, rejoining his beloved wife Adair.

He was born October 12, 1927 in New York City to the late Charles H. and Kathleen (Brennan) Wallis. Uncle Donald is survived by the Bauer and Oldakowski Families, along with many friends, family and neighbors.

Donald was a WWII Veteran serving in the United States Navy and was a member of The Cairo American Legion Mohican Post -983, The Knights of Columbus, and also The Elks Lodge. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of The Sacred Heart Church in Cairo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, 9-11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the family plot of The Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, in Hawthorne, N.Y.

Contributions in Donald’s memory may be made to The Greene County Women’s Cancer League Patient Aid, P.O. Box 341, Round Top, N.Y. 12473, or to The Cairo Rotary Club, 866 Mountain Avenue, Purling, N.Y. 12470.
