Donald J. June

It is with much sadness that Donald J. June, 61, of Catskill was unexpectedly called home by the Lord on October 25, 2021 at his home.

Born in Albany to Everett and Leila (Plusch) June, he graduated from Hudson High School in 1977 and began his employment with the Carpenters Union and learned much about the trade. Starting his own company years later, he shared his talents to those who worked for him. His endeavors took him to many different counties, but his home was always in Catskill.

He had a great love for all his family and shared his outgoing personality, positive attitude, and generosity with all, worked tirelessly on sister’s, nieces’, and nephews’ homes to help in any way he could, fitting in time for frequent visits to his elderly mother, making sure all was well with her.

Donald was predeceased by his father Everett June, grandparents Stanley and Lettie June, John and Merle Plusch, and aunt Grace Plusch. Survived by his mother Leila Wachowicz; sisters Carolyn (Jeffery) Stevens , Cindy (Donald) Weiss, and Cheryl (Thomas) Steinmann; nieces Michella (Thomas) Hand and Alexandra Steinmann and her fiancé Adam Larbin; nephews Justin (Candice) Steinmann (to be married on Nov. 6th) and Sean (Julie) Weiss; great-niece Lillian Marie Weiss, great-nephew Garrison David Weiss; and cousin Renee MacCormack and many others.

He will be greatly missed by all but is spreading joy in his heavenly home.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Hgts., Catskill. Masks or face coverings are suggested. A Funeral Service by Rev. David Tipple will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM . Interment will follow in Town of Catskill Cemetery.
