Dolores M. Host, 77, of Claverack, passed away peacefully December 30, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 30, 1942 in Brooklyn.

Dolores worked as a clerk on the 4th floor at Columbia Memorial Hospital for many years prior to her retirement. She always put others above herself and always had her head up and a smile on her face. Affectionately she will be remembered for her strong will, and proud Irish heritage. She enjoyed baking, quilting, basket making, and anything craft related. Visiting Amish country was something that her and her late husband enjoyed doing. She enjoyed teaching others, and sharing her knowledge and experience. Also, she was a long-time member of the Hudson VFW Post.

Dolores is survived by her devoted son; Robert Host Jr., her adoring granddaughter Jaylyn (Christopher Smith). Her great grandson Carter. She is also survived by her four brothers; Larry, David, John and Gary Dysard. Dolores was predeceased by her husband; Robert Host Sr. in 2015. In addition to her two sisters; Patricia Taylor, Lori Dysard and brother, Billy Dysard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1:30 to 3:30 at Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.
