Over the past few days I’ve been trying to figure out exactly how to feel and what I should say or do. All I know is you were my brother, my friend, my confidant, and my kids favorite uncle. The hole that is left in my heart is huge. I don’t know that it can ever be filled. But knowing that you were a part of my life and all of the memories we shared can never be taken means the most. You lived every day to the fullest and you found love in everything. Not only did you do that, but you inspired the rest of us to do the same. There is one comment that I’ve repeatedly heard over the past few days, and that is “I’ve never seen Dave sad” and that couldn’t be more true. Even if you weren’t happy the last thing you ever wanted was anyone else to see it because it might make them sad. You are truly the best and I couldn’t have loved you more. Until we take another deucy. I love you. Always. -Kayla

I have known Dave for many years. We are distant relatives by marriage. Dave was such a beautiful person and will be missed by so many. My condolences to his wife and children and immediate family. Dave and I would sit for hours just talking about everything. I still can't believe he is gone as I am in shock as many of us are learning of the news! RIP my friend! We've gained another angel who will be helping as he did on earth! Once again, my deep condolences to his immediate family! Love to you all. ❤ 🙏
