Daniel (Danny) Patrick Legg “Dan the Man” Born April 25, 1994, passed January 9, 2021, at the age of 26. Dan is best known for his huge smile and heart of gold that would always light up the room. Dan grew up on Hunter Mtn as an avid snowboarder. Dan competed in the USASA National Championships 2009 – 2012 in Colorado. Dan graduated from Hunter Tannersville Central School in 2012. Dan went on to compete in the USASA National X Games in Aspen Colorado. After, Dan went on to school at the Schenectady Modern Welding School to follow his love and passion for welding. Upon graduating he moved to Burlington Vermont to start his welding career at the Blodgett Oven Company. Dan then moved to Lake Tahoe to further his career at Big Water Welding. Dan continued to do everything he loved from hiking, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dirt biking and skateboarding. Dans biggest love was for his loyal canine Rufio along with his family.
Dan is survived by Mother Catherine Legg, Brother Derek Legg, Sister in Law Deana Legg, Stepfather Mark Rubinger, Father Dwane Legg, Stepmother Lori Legg, Sister Julia Legg, Grandmother Margaret Graham, Grandparents Julia and Perry Legg, Aunt Gail and Uncle Charlie Higgins, Aunt Lisa and Uncle John Mattice and Uncle Timothy Legg Sr along with numerous Cousins, and an unimageable amount of friends throughout the Country. Dan is also predeceased by his Grandfather Robert Graham, Aunt Mary Graham and Cousin Timothy Legg Jr. Services will be held Tuesday, January 12th from 2PM-4PM and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. Mass, Wednesday January 13th at 11 a.m. both will be held at the Aston-Basagic Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made in his honor to Greene County Sherriff’s Office K9 Unit and USASA Catskill Mountain Series.
